Account & Data Deletion Policy
1. Purpose
Zungal provides users with a mechanism to request deletion of their Zungal account and associated personal data.
2. In-App Deletion
Users can initiate account deletion from the account/settings functionality provided in the production app:
Navigation Menu (☰) → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account.
3. External Web Deletion Resource
In accordance with Google Play Store developer guidelines, users can initiate deletion from our dedicated external web resource even if they no longer have the app installed:
URL: https://zungal.com/delete-account
Accessible worldwide 24/7 without requiring active mobile app installation.
4. What Is Deleted
When deletion is completed, Zungal intends to delete the account and associated information, subject to lawful retention exceptions. Where appropriate, Zungal will take reasonable steps to request deletion from service providers acting on its behalf. This includes user profile identifiers, verification documents, business listings, and direct messaging records.
5. Lawful Retention
Limited information may be retained where necessary or permitted for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting or legal claims. Retained data should not be kept longer than reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose, subject to legal requirements.
6. Copies Outside Zungal's Control
Deletion from Zungal systems does not control copies independently made by other users, third parties, caches or external services outside Zungal's control.
7. Request Verification
Zungal may reasonably verify that a deletion request is legitimate. Zungal will not ask users to provide passwords or OTPs by email.
8. Google Play Compliance
The deletion implementation, external web resource and Google Play Data Safety declarations remain consistent with the production product.
